Bouillon Chartier

Paris France

I first visited this restaurant in 2020, after the end of the lockdown.

Ambience

0.5

The atmosphere was a bit dead but otherwise fine.

The service was fine, however it was difficult to get their attention sometimes, and they write the order on the table cloth so they have to keep moving your arm to read it

The prices were pretty good, however the dishes don’t include any side dishes so it can start to add up quickly.

It was quite nicely decorated, and very bright. The tables were spaced enough to social distance, but there was no outside seating.

The prices were a bit expensive, but otherwise fine. I’m not sure why they sell pizza by weight, though – who knows how much 500g of pizza is?

The outdoor seating was well laid out and allowed for easy social distancing, but it was right next to a road, and so was quite noisy.

The food was nice and really flavourful. Simple, traditional flavours, done exactly how they should be.

There isn’t much atmosphere as it feels like it is mainly designed for takeaway.

The service was quick, but they didn’t give us a menu and asked us to order in the queue, expecting us to already know what there was and what we wanted.
